So I see a lot of folks getting the Stealth black icon on the front of Weapon. Let's talk about that. While the Black icon is the "new shiz" I'm kinda traditional in a sense and leaning toward the classic Red.

Like MKBHD pointed out, airport security doesn't really take too kindly to the word "Weapon" written on anything. The Stealth helps in that regard.

I went with stealth as Wesley Snipes said. Always bet on black...

I can't wait for weapon 8k logo coin. Blacked out with the red center.

I received mine this week and I went Stealth just because I like that look with the Carbon combo.
If you picked up the classic color, you shouldn't be worried about airport security.
The word weapon is really small and that camera doesn't look like a gun at all.
I used to hide with tape the word Bomb on the EVF while traveling and for some reason one day I'll forgot to do it and I left France to Hawaii and ended up transiting in 3 different airport in Europe and in the US.
All the security agents looked at my gear as always but not a single one said something about the name of the EVF...

I've had to fly with a Forged Weapon with "classic ID" at least six times already, and zero issues ever with airport security. Get over it folks.

If you do a carnet on an international flight - just identify it as "RED DIGITAL CINEMA CAMERA DRAGON 6K" on the form.

I do think the stealth looks bad ass - and I will go that way all our future DSMC2 cameras.

Non-stealth for us.. RED One traditionalists :) .. airports: we always declare equipment names anyhow, and the black version still has the word on it I believe. Besides that, I don't think I've ever seen a real weapon with the word 'weapon' actually printed on it. 10c of black gaffer tape addresses reflection issues. In the end it's all personal preference though, nice to have a choice :)

I had a problem with my EVF once. TSA wanted to check my carry on, saw the word "Bomb" and called other agents around. It was a big mess of discussions until I assembled the camera, turned it on and demonstrated that the EVF is in fact an EVF and did was I said it would do. Begrudgingly they let me go...
Ever since then I've had a piece of black tape over it and didn't have any issues since.
