For sale:
Selling my Steadicam Flyer kit. Great kit, hate to sell, but trying to be smart and consolidate equipment as this was only getting used a couple of times a year. Time to put to better use! Incredible starter Steadicam kit for anyone wanting to fly the Red. Also a very good vest & arm option for use with a 3-axis gimbal (or the Letus Helix on the actual Steadicam Post).
What’s included:
It’s one of the lightest weight Steadicam rigs out there that can handle a Red Scarlet/Epic payload so you’re still quite flexible in size and manoeuvrability, you can fly your Red all day long (as I had many times) without getting worn out.
I paid $5,500 USD altogether.
Asking $4,200 USD + shipping (shipping available to Canada & USA).
Updated Pricing: $3,800 USD For Steadicam Flyer (+ shipping)
Used this rig on the majority of the shots in this film (the moving ones of course, but also a number of ‘hand-held’s - close ups of faces etc):
Handles weight of cameras such as:
Epic, Scarlet, RedOne, Canon 5D2/3, Canon 7D/2, Blackmagic Cinema Camera, Canon 6D, Canon 1DC, Sony F5 with a load capacity of approximately 19 lbs (8.6 kg).
Note: Photos of rig in use show a few items not for sale including: the camera, the rail system under the camera (Cinevate Core Rig base, for quick release & accessory mounting options), HDMI cable (as SDI is already included, just had no use for SDI) and one battery is evidently larger than the other. The rig will ship with 2 identical batteries - I just happened to burn through 2 batteries on a full day shoot and photos are showing 2nd (fatter) battery on post.
