Steadi Cam Advice

I def like the workshop idea, what do you think about this system used?

The system is an ok system that works as it should, and good for starters, sure has limitations, but it will take you down the road, and you will be able to re -sell it if you find that this is the craft for you and you want to move on. But the workshop will do 2 things to you. First you are going to start the correct way in how you operate (as Paul said I did the same mistake)and learn all the mechanics and how they work. Then it will also let you get your hands on more advanced systems and you will get to find out how much better a good system performs and in a way tease you to move fwd to this wonderful craft if that is the thing for you. Cheers.

I just picked up a used Pilot shooting with my Epic-W single channel Fiz and Xeen lenses. running 98wh batteries on the bottom to try balance. I havent weighed it but its a wee bit too heavy for the arm, sits just below horizontal. Its ok to operate giving it a little support and lift but i think using a canon/gdu pancake lens with foolcontrol should bring it to a more happy weight and let it fly properly.

The vest is shit, has the dumbest idea of velcro straps that have to be reconfigured every time you put it on. BUT i very easily and cheaply made a set of velcro straps with clips on them so its now a 10 second solo setup climbing in instead of a 5 minute team saga.

The sled had a Poly switch inside the battery plate that nearly drove me to insanity, but once i pulled that out and put thicker gauge wiring into it its been perfect.

Thanks for all the advice.

If there is a Raptor system available for $5k, please send me a PM!
