hey guys i'm trying to use the stop/start function from my Genio WLC unit to work with my Red One MX and i need a cable for it. From the looks of the Pin out configuration the from the aux port on the red is

pin 1 = ground
pin 2 = GPI
pin 3 = GPO
pin 4 = +VOUT

For the Genio its

pin 1= battery +
pin 2 = cam on/off
pin 3 = cam on/ off
Pin 4 = Ground

so the cable would be have to be

Pin 1 to 4
pin 2 to 2
pin 3 to 3
pin 4 to 1

Right?

thanks in advance :)

Is the battery + on p1 of Genio an output? If so I would not connect it at all. You also dont need to use the +VOUT at all if the Genio has its own power supply. Unless p3 of Genio is a tally in, I would not use that one either.
So I think you just need
Cam p1 to Genio P4
Cam p2 to Genio p2

And select the switch closure style for the on/off on genio

Hey Dave thanks for the advice, i already got a cable prior to seeing this post. the upside is that the receiver gets power through the cable, and the start function works, the problem is that it doesn't stop record. not sure why. I'll try getting a cable like the one u described and see what happens. thanks for the advice

just incase anyone else needs this info, the combination i found to work was for the cable was

cam p1 to genio p4
cam p2 to genio p2
cam p3 to genio p3

and have the genio control box camera switch set to on. then on the genio handheld controller camera on/of switch works as the start/stop switch.
