  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Stanley Cup Playoffs Begin!

Wings will make history tonight...

Kind of like how Philadelphia made history last year. Unfortunately we were on the wrong end of that historical event. The Bruins rectified the situation this year though with a very convincing win over Phily. Now we have to face a red hot Tampa team. But their goalie is older than ours, so maybe that will be the deciding factor. :-)

By the way, I secretly want the Red Wings to make it to the finals. Although I think they are the toughest matchup for the Bruins, I think it would make for the most entertaining series. San Jose or Vancouver would be good too, and perhaps a better matchup for Bruins, but I would love to see a classic matchup between Boston-Detroit.

Detroit-Boston would be a lot of fun. I think they should take the original 6 and put them in their own division. Wouldn't that be great? It's silly to have Detroit in the West.

Things may change as far as division lineup if/when Atlanta moves to Winnipeg...At least until Phoenix moves to Quebec City in 2015.

Congrats San Jose. Now it's time to see who's making it to the finals. It's going to be a wild conference finals. Playoff hockey is a lot of fun. These series could go either way.

What an awesome game tonight! Boston deserved it. Tampa didn't do anything special -Thomas didn't have to do much. Roloson stood on his head, but it wasn't enough.

Vancouver vs. Boston will be a great final.

Exactly. This is a dream setup for Versus and the CBC up here...CDN team playing the B's.

We may find out out if Luongo is the pretender I think he is...Boston is relentless.

Didn't want to come on here and gloat but since you guys mentioned it, I am incredibly excited about the Bruins making it to the finals. It's been a long time coming and in some ways, I'm happy they will have to get through the team with the best record, a team that has a power play that makes the Bruins PP look amateur, and speed that the Bruins just can't match. I'm happy about that because I think the Bruins are the underdogs. They will only win if they play with heart, with tremendous defensive pressure, finish their checks, and ultimately just want it more. Oh, and one other thing - Tim Thomas. This could be a great series about to unfold. I may not be able to watch every game due to the shooting schedule of a movie I'm on, but I do hope to catch as much of this series as possible. Going to be a good one for the TV ratings as well. One thing about having Boston in the finals of any sport is that there are a lot of Bostonians living in other parts of the country, so there is a built-in national audience.

To our neighbor to the north, best of luck in this series!

Was discussing this series -in fact there are more CDN players on Boston than there are Vancouver...Horton has been a stud, and he's CDN. Lucic is from BC and he's got friends and family in Vancouver who will be cheering him. In fact Krejci is the only forward who ISN'T Canadian, and half the D are as well...we'll see how badly Chara wants it. He can turn it up when he wants to.

Vancouver in 6.

I'm inclined to agree with that statement... However, I hope Boston wins it. Like Steve said, it's been a long time coming.

Didn't want to start a new thread but the official announcement of Winnipeg coming back to the NHL is official! No team name yet but average ticket will range from $39-$129.

EA Sports simulation has the Canucks winning in 7. Game 6 goes into overtime and the Bruins win. The home team wins every game in their simulation. I believe everything that EA Sports says will happen. :-)
