Hi.

it seems there is no way to turn off the lcd touchscreen on the epic if you wanna save some battery, right? Or to put the epic into standby or so?

Yesterday on a shoot, i just pulled the cable to the screen a few times, and put it back in, when ready to shoot, that seemed to work, but isn't so elegant :-)

I don't like shutting down the camera to much, if it's just a 15 min break while setting up a shot.
As far as i know, the camera sucks up quite some energy while it boots, correct?

Thanks for any feedback.

Didn't find a thread about this yet, but it might be in here somewhere deep down.

bye

a power saving/standby mode was something on the road map, a long time ago, if I remember well. It seems that a 10" boot time has made it less necessary. However, whoever has to care about energy saving in the field would like it, I guess...
