Stage 4 Epics in time for Oscars?

[Andrew Huse]

Anybody have thoughts on if maybe perhaps the Stage 4 Epics could possibly be available by February 27, 2011? I recently got a new job as a video editor and I can now afford the Epic. Part of my job involves covering the red carpet at the Oscars. I'd much rather use the Epic instead of the Canon 5dmkii, and with all the recent news that Epic is in the pre-production phase has me hoping that I can get one in 3.5 months

I think you'll certainly be able to get it for the 2012 red carpet.

I doubt they'll have finished stages 2 and 3 within the next 3.5 months. they haven't even announced when stage 3 can place deposits. usually deposits are accepted for a month or two - so even if they started today, stage 3 might not be finished by March - much less stage 3.5 or 4.

I'd love to be wrong about that...

I agree with Mitch.

I have a Stage 2 reservation, and I am not sure if I will get that by Feb 2011!!!

So no chance for Stage 4 by then.

My Stage-2's are relatively low numbers/delivery dates. I'm hoping I can actually get them before NAB.

NAB 2011 is in mid-April, for anyone who didn't know that info off-hand.
