Any thoughts to a stabilizer within RCX? I am thinking this might be a key tool to aiding in my workflo. Most of my clients want transcodes which I am only too happy to provide. But often I have to rush to grab shots and cant get a tripod in time so handheld it is. A stabilizer would really help out for these shots.

Thanks for any news

If you haven't tried it, you should have a look at the new After Effects CS5.5 Warp Stabilizer tool, it's pretty amazing, best I've seen so far.

I know it's not related to RCX, but I just thought I should mention it.

after effects is a good suggestion. you can do your one light in rcx, import clip and the look into premiere, dynamic link into AE, export out of AE. should still take advantage of some of your rocket power if you have one, if not, it's multi core optimized so it's gonna be one of the fastest cpu debayers you can get.

The stabilizer in Resolve also works very well.

I guess i am interested in a a one stop shop for a transcode. I have really been happy with the results and workflo with RCX. and with the exception of a stabilizer it provides all that I need. I will look into resolve as it seems to be able to perform all that I need . Thanks to M Most for the tip.

+1 Resolve with a Rocket all the way. One stop, fast transcode with incredible results. I just installed and it's changing the way I think about everything!

if you already have adobe, try that out as well, without a rocket, you will definitely probably get faster debayering/transcoding out of adobe media encoder. and you can still do all your image processing in rcx of course if you like, and for shots that need stabilization just run them through after effects. otherwise, and in any case really, you should check out resolve. take a look at your existing graphics cards capabilities with the two softwares as that may influence your decision, or look into some cards that play nicely, and think about a rocket card.
