SSD-based SCRATCH system (built by Globalstor)

[Torrey Loomis]

We're selling an in-house demo SCRATCH system that was built by Globalstor:

Liquid-cooled Intel Xeon 3.2 Ghz (capable of overclock to 4.0 ghz)
SSD boot drive with Windows 7 64-bit
20.0 TB internal RAID storage
NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 with SDI card

System does not include SCRATCH license. We would get you a new license of SCRATCH from Assimilate to go with this system.

Our last demo system sold in 2009 for $13,550. This one is more powerful and has much more online storage. Like to get $12,000/obo for this unit.

How much memory included and how fast is the memory for that price Tor?

thanks

[Torrey Loomis]

I'll double check in the AM, but I think its 12 or 24 GB.

[Torrey Loomis]

Tim--looks like my previous reply didn't post up. It has 12.0 GB of system RAM. That can be raised up if you want.

So it's $12,000 plus the cost of a new Scratch licensee, correct?

-AG

[Torrey Loomis]

Affirmative--just need to add a SCRATCH v6.0 license and you'd be good to go.

[Alan Gordon]

Thanks Torey, unfortunately with the price of Scratch, it prices my small operation out. I do recognize the great deal on the hardware though!

Someone jump on this!

[Torrey Loomis]

Alan,

You know SCRATCH has had a major price reduction as of NAB 2011, right?

Bump. Price dropped to $11,000.

[Torrey Loomis]

Bump--this system needs to rotate out. If you want a SCRATCH system and want to make a reasonable offer, we'll consider it.
