  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Has anyone had any experience joining these cables?

I have found some connector cables online but I have enough spares to try and make one.

Can't find much about it online, if it doesn't take a lot of soldering I thought I might give it a go.

Anyones thoughts/experiences would be much appreciated, thanks!
 
Hi, yes it's certainly possible, though the 6-pin Lemo is quite a nuisance to solder as the connector pins are so small... If you do give it a go, just make extra double certain that you get the wiring right (see the R1MX manual for the pinouts) and also note that the + DC voltage needs to be connected to two pins on the Lemo, otherwise the camera power supply will be damaged.
