spinning beach ball in RCx

Hi Gang,

Is anyone having trouble with Redcine-x being VERY slow or freezing up, showing the spinning beach ball for 3-4 seconds then suddenly working?

Every time I make a change to a file, exposure, ISO, anything, It freezes for a few seconds while it's thinking, then makes change.
The software is unusable like it is.

I haven't noticed anything like that on my end. What version are you on? And what hardware are you running?

And first thing to try would be to uninstall and reinstall the program to see if it was just a weird glitch.

OK, Dugh ! found the issue and I feel silly but I'll share my knowledge.

I have the older mini mag reader on the computer and when working in RCx with files directly on the card is when it's slow.

Yes I know I shouldn't do that, just some test files checking lenses etc and didn't bother to download to the RAID.
