Franchise is going to be re-booted from the beginning of the Peter Parker story. New script, new cast.

For the most part I liked the last three films, however, a re-boot could be fun...

If by "for the most part" you mean the 1st and most of the 2nd I agree. And I'm not just saying that because they cut my shots in the third lol.

Far too much whining on everyone's part in the third. I'm really tired of flawed super heroes. They're all turning completely unlikeable. "Whoa is me, I have super powers. It's hard being a super hero." Somewhere someone got it stuck in their head that in order to be more 'authentic' everyone had to be manic depressive. Iron Man was a nice change in tone.

Yeah, 1 and 2, that was the "most part".
I've always liked the Spider-Man character (none films) so I'd like to see a re-boot with a new approach.

I agree, Iron Man was a nice breath.

Interesting....after the third one I certainly didn't want to see another, but I quite liked the first two. Does this mean that the Venom spin-off is also canned?

Good. It needs a serious reboot.

agreed. Would love to see a change similar to what Batman Begins did for that franchise.

Chris Nolan is a master filmmaker.

The difference is the Batman franchise started in the 80's so there was at least "some" time between that and the reboot.

haha yeah, I'm tracking with you Christopher. A re-boot of Spider-Man could do good... but so soon?

Where? Hollywood. When? 2030. The Bourne Identity, X-men, Lion King re-boots coming to a theater near you!

I could name 1000 people I would NOT like to see play Peter Parker. but I would have to say the first of 1000 would be Zac Effron. (or Efron)

The point is, they are starting from the beginning and re-telling the Peter Parker story.
