What are your impressions on the LogC input LUT? Better starting point than RLF?

Honestly, I don't think so. As I said, all they are doing is lifting the offsets and swinging them toward cooler tint. That's it See for yourself in my project. The first node in RLF image does "Alexa emulation" and the second does 3500 Fuji. Export each node as a LUT and, voila you have the same LUTs as made by SpeedLooks.
But before I make a final decision for myself, I'd like to see something more, like posted by Jim. In my book, only skin tones count. Your images are a bit difficult to judge. I think it's a bit too stylized.

Sure but it's still not as much control as using SpeedGrade. Have you ever tried SpeedGrade? Old or new?

No 10 bit monitoring, no panel support to speak of, no XML support, no real ability to conform, no ability to easily roundtrip to FCP, loss of metadata in "send to Speedgrade" mode... Why bother?
