Speed Ramp?

Pardon my ignorance, but I was wondering why you would choose to take advantage of using the new speed ramp feature in camera and not just do it in post?

Basically you can not speed ramp in post at all... not with prefect timing in between the shot frames...
So basically if you try to go from 1 frame per second up to 98 frames per second there is no way to do so in a linear fashion or along a curve even with the same shutter speed for each frame. As in post the only speeds you can accomplish nicely is by speeding 200%,300%,400% and so on where as a real ramp goes evenly trough those numbers.

This is a really cool feature actually.
