  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Decided to build up some speedrail inventory and associated pieces. Trying to decide between 1 1/4 vs 1 1/2" Obviously the larger size is heavier and more expensive, but also is stronger.

My main intention is to use these to build menace arms, 20 x 20 overhead frames, goal post (backdrop) bars, car mount setups, and possibly slider/dolly setups

Don't want to invest in both sizes right now. Which size has the most utility on set?
 
I think the one of the most important things is to stay standard with what everyone else is doing in DC. If there is a clear preference there, then go in that direction.
 
There is no standard. However 1.25 is the most commonly found size on trucks and studios.
