I've not shot or seen RAW files from Epic, what is the spec of the stills out of the Epic? Can this be shot like a DSLR, and then switch to motion? At 300 DPI, what size image can the Epic produce. Does Epic also sync with strobe?

Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but there's not much info on Epic's stills ability.

1. The spec of the stills... Epic-X has 5120x2700 active pixels. The images will be RAW. Similar to how a DSLR can take a RAW still. I'm sure this didn't answer that question well, sorry, just not sure what you meant by "spec."
2. Yes, it can switch easily between stills and motion. Pretty sure this was said by Ted in one of the videos where he's showing it off.
3. DPI as in printing DPI? Again, someone else can correct me, but I don't think anyone public knows this really. Also, I don't think there's a direct relation to pixel count and printing DPI (I've never tested a RAW in Photoshop, only .jpeg's from my DSLR. So I could be wrong here too...).

5120 pixels wide (5K) at 72dpi is about 17.05" wide at 300dpi.

So Epic still is about 14 megapixels?

13.8 MP according to this old chart. Though we need to disregard REDCode Datarates and Dynamic range due to the improvements that RED has made in the past couple of years since they released this chart...

I'd actually like to delete this chart because someone will quote it as fact. It is really old news.
