The difference in weight/size of the Source 4 JR model appeals to me.

I'm wondering if I can use the Source 4 Jr. model with a Joker 400 lamp

Does anyone know if it's safe to do this and if it works the same as a standard sized Source 4 housing w/ bug-a-beam adapter?

i've contacted the companies but was hoping to get a faster response here, thanks

Please report back when you hear, very curious to know this too :)

Got my curiosity working too! A bit of research shows that it should work.

Found a K5600 brochure online that states:

"The Bug a Beam : .
The Joker-Bug 400 can be placed inside any ETC Source Four : standard or junior, fixed focus or zoom.
The Source four is then converted into a HMI 400w hot-restrike unit with the punch of a 2KW tungsten with better colour rendition."

(Good to know - I have some juniors)

Though not a junior, this thread has some pix:

So far neither company can confirm or deny the Joker 400 in an S4 Jr. It's a weird mystery.

For the time being I'm happily using the flagship Source 4 with Joker 400 HMI bulbs, and the Source 4 Jr. for tungsten
