Sound Devices Mix Pre 6 - How to record separate files for each channel?


Maybe someone can help me with this. I am in advanced mode. I have my boom mic on input 1. My lav on Input 2.
When I press record, and go to my SD Card, it only gives me one file. Yes when I drop it in my project both recordings are on that one file, but is there a way to have it separately record wavs for each input? Or will it always combine them?

Having them all in one file does make post easier. Sync one audio clip and you're done, rather than syncing one per track.

Usually post always prefer polywav files.
