Hi - I would like to render material shot at 4.5k to dpx for baselight (it cannot handle it natively yet) and using our RR + rocketcine will not allow the full 4480x1920 resolution to be rendered. Is there a workaround? Additionally is there really no way to crop in either rocketcine or redciine-x? We ultimately want a crop of 4480x1906 scaled to 2048x1743 for anamorphic. If I have to I can scale in AE but I need the 4.5k rendered file to start with. I'm rendering through redrushes at present but would really need the speed that the RR can provide as time is short.

Also I see in the build 21 notes the following:

"Note: Clips recorded in REDCODE 42 are compatible with existing post production tools, bit 4.5K RAW footage should be scaled to 4K or lower resolution prior to post production."

Can someone please explain this in more detail.

thnx,

noel

Both more scaling and 4.5k full resolution support is coming with new firmware/software support in the next build (should be in the next few days).

oh well....... render is about 15% done :violin: I guess it'll have to be tomorrow in baselight then :violin:

great to know its coming though and thnx for the response
