  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Sony's A7s turns night into day with ISO 409,600 (demo)

Good thing Sony is the only camera manufacturer than stretches the specs in their marketing hype ;-)

You know . . . I still haven't seen one good demo reel for this camera. Sony should hire the guys that shoot the GoPro premieres - dat shit is dope!

GoPro does better marketing than anyone. Period. Well, OK, the RedBull guys are pretty amazingly awesome when it comes to marketing too.

As for the a7s, we're 11 days away from official release here in the USA. I ordered one, it looks like it could be the ultimate compact DSLR travel camera and I intend to use it predominantly for stills. I guess we'll find out soon enough how it truly performs. Even cutting through the hype and trying to analyze crap videos on YouTube and Vimeo, I'm seeing some very promising things.

This will be an amazing 4k timelapse camera with silent mode. I'm buying 5 of 'em.

Interesting camera indeed. But the jello is a big downside.

Yea, I wanna really like this little cam....but....they missed their mark on DR, a 3200 ISO in S-log will require NDs regularly, and the battery life is pretty terrible. To make it usable on a regular shoot day, you'll have to carry a bunch of little accessories to cope with its issues. It looks great on paper, but could fall a bit short. Don't think I'm gonna be an early adopter of this one.
