CONDITION:
Screen: 10/10
Casing: 9/10 - There is slight visible wear from pervious rack mounting, but no deep scratches or imperfections.
Control Unit: 10/10 - This was an open-box demo unit that was only used for testing purposes.
This monitor still retails for $23,400 New, and for a comparable professional grade monitor you’ll easily be spending $20k plus.
Professional DIT’s and colorists know that up until recently the EMMY AWARD WINNING E250A was the absolute best monitor money can buy.
-This model was Sony's top of the line flagship before the introduction of the 4k BVM-X300 (which has issues that this monitor is free from)
-The E250A also features much better viewing angles and anti-reflection coating than the previous non-A E250.
-The E-series panels are of the highest grade, superior and more reliable than those in the F-Series F250/F250A.
-Top emission true RGB OLED panel, colors feel alive, literally unfiltered in front of you, without any color degradation or desaturation on brightness colors, as in the case of the WRGB panels that LG makes which are bottom emission. This is also better than the upcoming Samsung's QD-OLED tech, which is blue OLED plus a QD filter.
-The uncompressed detail retention on this panel causes the 1080p content to look significantly sharper than what viewers normally experience on commercial panels. I’ve found personally that content looks similarly detailed to my LG-Ultrafine 5k that I use for my interface next to the E250A.
For anyone looking to upgrade to a truly professional mastering reference monitor their color setup, this monitor is the perfect option. Willing to ship world-wide or to meet for a local exchange in the Washington D.C. area!
Asking $9,000 but willing to entertain reasonable offers! Feel free to email me at john@ristretto.camera if you're interested or have any questions!
