Sony Betacam lot and canon lens for sale for $700. All gear was purchased new years ago by first and only owner, has been used on a couple of projects, and have sat around in cool and safe storage for the better part of 20 years. All products were fully functional last time they were used. I am not the best at camera gear so bear with me.

Lot includes:
(1) PVW-2600 Tape Deck with manual
(1) BVV-5 fully assembled Camera with accessories and 2 detailed maintenance manuals, a operational manual, and a product catalog
(1) BVW 50 Portable player/recorder with cables and 2 detailed maintenance manuals and accessories
(1) CA-537 camera adapter
(1) AC-500 adapter power supply.
(1) Sony 550hz condenser microphone

Sony Betacam PVW-2600 Videocassette Editing Player and Recorder. Comes with instruction manual and power cord. Deck powers up but beyond that we do not have the skills to determine how functional item is.

Sony Betacam BVV-5 Camera with viewfinder and accessories. Comes with hard case and Volume 1 and 2 of the maintenance manual as well as the smaller operation manual. A product catalog showcasing studio connectability and wiring setups is included.

Sony Betacam BVW 50 Portable player. Comes with original case and strap which is in lightly used condition. Also comes with RGB cables. Volume 1 and 2 of the maintenance manuals are included.

Sony Betacam CA-537 Camera adapter. Appears to be in great condition. Comes on it's own, no case. I assume adapter is compatible with all other camera gear listed here.

AC-500 adapter power supply. Supplies the camera adapter. Connecting cord to camera adapter is provided.

Sony 550hz condenser Microphone is included for free.

Provided in lot are miscellaneous wires.

================================================

Sold separately is a Canon J14ax8.5B4 IRS SX12 20mm lens. A manual, 2 lens caps, and a hood is included. The lens was mounted on the Sony camera listed above for years before we found the gear. Asking price is $450.

================================================

All items are sold in as is condition. As stated above, all gear was fully functional and operational the last time they were used. More pictures are available upon request. I will consider breaking up the Sony lot if there is enough interest for individual items and if the price is right. Questions are welcome, pm me or email at daniel@lcstages.com.

Thanks for your interest!

Here's a few ideas and I'm not trying to be funny:

See if you can give them away to a broadcast museum for a tax write-off?

Would a prop department buy these for use in period pieces?

Keep the deck & search for someone that has a large collection of old tapes that need archiving???

It sure does bring back memories. At least it is Beta SP. I've got 3 Panasonic MII decks and I can't even give them away. For some reason I just can't bring myself to put them out on the curb for the trash man.

Thanks for the pointers, Ethan. I've looked into selling them for prop houses but I'm still trying to get top dollar (whatever that is) by selling them to somebody who will put them to some use. On ebay all of these items have sold individually from different sellers so I still have hope. Tax write-offs and donations have been considered as well.

For those interested, I also have some never before used BCT-90 and BCT-20 tapes that I'll throw in for free.
