Hey guys and gals. Here are some straight off camera (RED Weapon 8K Helium) grabs for you using the latest IPP2 color science. All these are Low Con R4 unless otherwise noted. Shot on Lomo Sphericals - gosh I love these lenses!!! Mostly shot on the 35, 50 and 75 focal lengths.

The director is editing the film now, and I'll post it here once it's live. Shot over the course of 3-days with a small/green crew, along with lots of company moves made for a jam-packed schedule and not a lot of setup time. I think we all pulled it off though and got some great imagery.

If you have any questions or opinions, feel free to chime in. Absolutely love this community!

nice lenses and nice color i have to say.
i am curious to see the final result. But i am sure the stills I see now will match the result.

Thank you...yea, I'm pretty happy with them. Can't wait to use Phil's PhilmColor on them too.

Chris, those frames are stunning! Those lomo's sing! I love those last 5 shots from the guy and girl in the house window (fantastic composition by the way... Reminds me of the shot in American Beauty when he's looking at the girl next door) all the way to the last shot looking through the drivers window. The drivers window and the shot of the girl and the guy in the robe out of focus behind her, were those just natural light? Did you use any frames with diffusion and bounce? Curious for your setup on those shots. Again, really great work. Thanks for contributions Chris. I too love this community so much and it's largely in part because of these contributions you make. So thanks for being such a great member of this community.

Thanks John. Yea, I really really love the Lomo's. They have a great/organic look to them, and paired with the 8K sensor, it's pure magic. For the driver's window girl shot, the sun had dropped way farther than I would have liked to push an even stronger kick into her, so my G&E team gave me everything they had off a shiny board, so that's all that's hitting her, no ambient fill/bounce.

For the dad/girl shot out in the front yard, that was existing light, just timed it right to get the sun low enough to provide some nice contrast. For their closeups, I did use some modifiers and negative fill - opal and solid. But outside of that, nothing else used.

Great looking stuff Chris!

Thanks sir!

Nice.

Image #11.; Two people with bicycles in front of the house, could you share the lighting setup please?

Sure! Only used 2 lights.

A 1.2K HMI is on the roof (left side of frame) fully sticked up and shot through double opal gel sheets
A 2K tungsten unit shot through a 4x4 opal frame on far camera right, to push the fire pit and give some color contrast

just curious - cause they look familiar - who is the talent? the older actor looks very familiar

The boy is the lead kid actor in Stranger Things - Finn Wolfhard
The girl is Iris Apatow - she's been in quite a few movies and is currently on the series Love on Netflix.
The dad is Ron Rogge, who's been on Stranger Things as well as quite a few movies/shows.

All incredibly talented actors/actress and it was an absolute pleasure to work with them. Finn was one of the most humble people I have ever met.

that's where I've seen them - thanks Chris - sorry for double post

Beautifully shot, congratulations!
