SONNET QIO - real world useage?

man this is really frustrating. this thing has been out how long now and it still can't just work properly without a hitch? I've been wanting one for a long time now but can't justify getting one until all this stuff is cleared up. by the look of things might be never. Lion is weeks away and I expect this thing to stop working all together with that. such a shame, the qio is such a great concept.

after much frustration and crashing - eventually found the sonnet technical support page.

there is info here about removing old versions of QIO software before upgrading to mac os 10.6.8 or higher - you have to install the new QIO software before upgrading the os - if you do no do this you have to write are series of instructions into the terminal to remove the kernels from your system disk before you can install the new software and get the QIO going!

After reinstalling the screen turns blue for a long time - but this is part of the process!!! so be patient. anyhow read all the posts on the Sonnet support pages.
