I'm curious, when searching for hardware to give the mac pro processing power, and dropping all that money, at that point why not build a PC? Is the operating system on a work computer really worth the time, money, and lack of hardware options?

i am just guessing, but i would say that the pci-e slots are just connected to the TB2 ports, which would be the same as putting the rrx in a TB2 box.....i could be wrong of course but i don't see how sonnet could find any other access....
if you have to rack mount your nMP, i guess this would be the way to go....

I used to be a Sonnet customer, I'm not anymore. Why? They don't update their drivers nearly often enough.

I think the concept is good, assuming they have the thermals squared away.
