  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Finally got the Sonnet M.2 4x4 PCI installed on the 2019 Mac Pro.
Partially loaded with Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD 2TB (2).
So far I'm getting on average 5200mbs up and down.
Not sure if I can go faster, have no idea if its SSD related.
But so far this has been quite the ride :)

P.s. damn that Mac Pro uses a lot of custom metal parts.
 
I also wanted to add that Sonnet claims speeds up to 11k.
Never bothered to ask why I can't get that speed but if anyone has any insight, chime away.
