  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

something really weird... wondering if this has ever happend to anyone else

Could the monitors have been mis-calibrated?

thinking the same or the SDI signal somehow tweaked by a look setting or something.

The only time I thought something similar had happened, was after an evening shoot. Came home and everything was 3 stops underexposed, I thought wtf? then I found out my macbookretina screen was almost at its lowest light level... shots were fine. Could be the panasonics brightness were turned down, or because you were shooting exterior sunny day, the image on the monitors looked underexposed and therefore you accidentally overexposed?

The question that comes to my mind is: what did the histogram and goal posts say? Monitors can be off so it should allways be checked against a light meter or the histogram/goal posts. The goal post are showing the Raw exposure while the histogram is showing exposure according to the metadata.

We've had this happen through the SDI where it'll be severely under exposed (2 to 3 stops) but on the onboard 5" touch it looks fine. Something to do with the SDI signal path. A reboot has always fixed it. Makes AC's go crazy if they're pulling from monitor.
