I haven't posted anything here in a while. So I figured I would cut something together and post it here for your entertainment. Most of this footage was filmed up in Washington and there are some Arizona shots in there. All of it was shot using Nikon glass and the 80-200mm zoom has quite a few shots in there.

Nice.
Did something similar a few weeks ago.
I have a Shake-trick to remove those flickering one-frame-birds from the opening time lapse sequence.

Hey Drew,

Nice work.
How do you find the focus ring on the 80-200mm, I bought mine new and it has a pretty 'loose' feel to it compared to my other lenses.

Ed, the focus ring on my 80-200mm is nice and tight. There might be a tiny bit of play right when you start racking focus the other way. But that's something that I have come to except about the Nikon lenses.

Pict, share your Shake trick. I kind of have an idea as to what you might do. Shake is a cool program and for the $300 it costs its a great deal. The way I would get rid of the birds or insects would be to use the multilayer and take two copies of the clips and shift one of them by a frame. Then cut out the birds from my top layer and hopefully they wouldn't be in the second layer.

Well you're on the right track but it is even easier. Instead of using the multilayer you connect two versions of the clip ( one moved 1 frame, as you knew ) and use the max-node. Then it will just let the brightest pixels through. So if you don't have fireflies in the picture it will work just fine. Good luck.
