  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Maybe do some yoga on the beach, breathe, then come back and kick some ass.

If you're really taking time off, great. Go make some pictures or something.

If you mean you're taking time off from business, and this place, and spending it with attorneys instead, do what you have to do. Light a fire under them. THEN go make some pictures.

You're not lacking in support.

I'm in no position, your level, or shoes to be commenting but there are dirty mofos out there. Goodluck and take breather then come back and fucken punch more holes!
 
I am so sorry to hear about this whole thing. Feel better, Jim. There are hundreds of your customers out there who've got your back, pretty much no matter what, and that's not something a lot of CEOs can say.
 
Yep. Cigar, whiskey,something fast, drain the brain bilge. Come back refreshed. Reality will still be here, but it will not be ready for you. We know who the winners are around here. You, and all of us, because of you.

This whole situation really stinks Jim. I'm unbelievably sorry to see this happen. I'd say that you get some needed R&R, recharge yourself, then dive back in and rise above this great disappointment.

Take the break knowing that, however unsavory the circumstances, your vision will be upheld as true and clear in the end. All the flack you've taken will be seen for what it actually is.
 
I'm so sorry this happened, Mr. Jannard. I know you and the whole RED team were spoiling for a fight with ARRI. But the one you wanted was in the marketplace where the winner would be the one who could make the best cameras and equipment. It was clear you were looking forward to that with relish.

Now it sounds like you will have to endure an unpleasant legal fight with a competitor you once admired. I used to work in a rental house in the late '90s and I always thought the ARRI gear was very cool. I even thought about seeking a job with them once, but my career went in another direction. If they used what MB learned by reading your emails, whether or not they asked him to do it in the first place, then I am very disappointed in them. Though I can't imagine how it feels for you.

In any case I'm pulling for you in both the business and legal struggles. Taking some time off to think, prepare your next move, and rest is a good thing. I hope some time soon you can go on an actual vacation.

I've been a fan of RED since Mr. Jannard answered my first post here. And aside from my words, I'll be showing my support by competing with about 10,000 other customers to buy the first Scarlet on November 3rd.

Take some rest chief.. No one deserves it more.. Relax the best way you can.. And I guess you have quite some catching up with the bed to do :)
