  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

SOME cheap tripod for RED?

No one wants to spend $5K or more on a tripod. But unless you are going to shoot with a very light rig, you may want to do some tests. I'd rather look for a used setup that is appropriate than a new system that won't cut it.

I'm investing in this as a "stand up" tripod rather than a functional one. Basically it will be used with minimal accessories and won't be used for panning or tilting. Heck, I've seen 501's used for this. When I get more funds I'll probably invest in a OConnor 2060 or the Miller 55, but for now, this fulfills my needs and then some.

Depends what you define as "cheap" but this is what I use with no complaints or regrets :sarcasm:

For anybody in the UK, I've got a brand new Manfrotto 526 that I'm looking to sell. The head is boxed and sealed, so only picture I can supply is the box, and Manfrotto's stock images.

It was bought as a spair, but we've now got a duplicate of our main head, so it seems a waste to just keep it in a box, when somebody could be making great use of it.

So, new/sealed, and been kept in temperature controlled storage since April.

Ad.

PS I'm going to put it on eBay tomorrow, give me a shout if interested.
