  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Soderbergh's CHE films are screening right now!

- Le Silence de Lorna by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne

ah, please god, not the Dardenne brothers again!
like their movies alot but all similar and always winning (1999 and 2005) at Cannes, heheh
... shame i had to leave Cannes on Monday :angry2:

Hey Earthling.

please don't *ulshit here at this level...

It's about our camera system (RED) that we can rent and work

tomorrow proudly between all other film/digital acquisition systems.

Also all the best for the Sorderbergh's CHE movie idea...

If you ask me about a film in general it is OVER like an art long ago ...

All probably until I am getting on the film stage with RED...:) :) :) .

i have no idea what you just said :umm:

I'm in Cannes and did not see CHE yet but my friends who did see it said it was pretty long and unorganized. They handed out CHE branded Snack-Packs to help the press survive the screening. Genereal buzz based on a survey at the bar runs from "Admirable Failure" to "Tepid". Bear in mind that SS may go back and re-cut. Sounds like there is lots of good material in there, just kind of a jumble.

EVERYBODY said it looked great so you can relax about that.... Apparently a few scenes look a bit strange ( creative choices ? ) but basically the RED rocked the film. I'll report more fully on this tomorrow when I get a peek at it myself and leave and film criticism to the experts. ( Who have both praised and skewered the film I'm here with, Amat Escalante's "Los Bastardos" )

If anyone who is reading this is in Cannes and wants to go see it or just get a drink afterwards I'll be at the 13.15 Salle Soixantieme sceening tomorrow. Just email me and we'll figure it out.

By far the weakest Dardenne's movie so far, according to the critics (and a few privileged friends of mine who have seen it). So, I don't think this one is going to win the Palme...

Film is not over as an art, third man, check out films made in the art world; Saskia Olde Wolbers is an absolute genius, but you'll have to go to museums to see the work
