Hello, last weekend I had the honor of watching the first part of "Che" at the inauguration ceremony of the Morelia Film Festival in Michoacan, Mexico.

Regarding the recording format, all I will say is that to me, and all the people I spoke with, there wasn't any obvious difference with what we're accustomed to see in movie theaters. I believe it held it's own beautifully in the big screen. This was a 35mm print so it included the dust, scratches and cigarette burns that we've all learned to love. Also, it was the 2.40 anamorphic part and I did noticed some of the softness that has been mentioned before (due to the use of anamorphic lenses in 2k resolution). The blown out whites didn't bothered me at all as I could see they were aesthetic decisions and not a limitation in dynamic range (after 10 months working with the camera, I know how clipping looks!).

The movie itself is an amazing feat. I enjoyed it thoroughly and left craving for more (but I've admired his work since Sex, Lies & Videotape, so my opinion might be biased). Congratulations to Soderbergh, Jim and the Red crew. The revolution is starting to yield fruit!

I snapped this crappy iphone pic of one of the coolest (for me) moments of the film:
