  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

So, let's say ACs prefer D21 over R1, what would you like to see in the Epic?

I bet you can find ARRI centered AC's that hate hate hate Panavision.

Its people not wanting to get out of their comfort zone.

I worry about exactly this too.

It keeps me up at night. See, here I am posting about it.
 
And has anyone gotten Phase in Syncro mode to work?

And what's EVF fixed or refresh?

Seems so nit-picky, so trivial, but it's so important. It's little issues like this that can create a background stress when using a tool, and I really hope Epic doesn't go cheap on these issues.
Issues like these are what gets tongues wagging every time.
They may be solvable with upgrades to third-party solutions, but not all cameras out there will have those modifications.

I hope issues like this don't help make the difference in people's feelings between Epic and Alexa.
That would be a great shame.

I hope the quality of the metal stays high. Demo epics at the moment are machined aluminum.
Wouldn't it be great if production models stayed that way, so everyone who picked one up felt that they were holding and using a precision instrument. I'd pay a small premium for that.

Jim already mentioned long ago that the Epic would be machined versus the R1 casting. Don't think that's going to change.
 
Such boring "life stories" between ACs, D21s and Alexas...

Give us something totally new...
 
I still don't understand, have panavision's red's got summat for the AC that I don't know about?

And anyone got an answer for me about the EVF refresh and the phase option?
