Hi, I´ve searched other forums for an estimate of the tipical average commercial (like samsung´s fishies floating out of the screen in their new 3d tv showed before avatar´s movie)...and I haven´t really perceived any idea on what the costs could be based on.

It´s obvious the technical equipment adds a big $ to it. But how about the human-creative aspect (3rd dimension good-engaging story telling) for a 20 second commercial?

Could anyone help me with references about it please?
Thanks.

You will be asked to change to your Real name as this is a real forum ;~)

As far as typical there is just no typical..

I have assisted S3D production and 3D CGI productions were so much simply depends on the complexity and story to be told, and how it is told, equipment chosen, Stereographer and Director Hired Props, location, and the list goes on and on, so it is really just simply per project based cost, decided by all the elements put together, including time frame in which the project needs to be delivered.

I hav e been asked to put together few budgets for some S3D work, and I have simply replied with variations of cost dependent to gear used, talent and crew, followed by location Post and deliverables.

But I did so after I was given specific of what the clients wanted as final result.

@ Ketch: I´m a Sir. My name is David. I´m 32 y/o. How else would I suppose to resume my ident? ;)

Thanks for your replies. I had figured the numbers went $1000 per second and of course complexity directs the budget on that base.
