  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Sneak Peak - Element Technica 3D Rig Control for iPhone

BadAss....

Being one of the other handful of beta testers of this new feature/device, I have to chime in and say it is so much more than just rig control.....it's just the tip of the iceberg.

to my surprise...it really works!

I just took delivery of a New magnisium atom (owned by the production I'm working on) Sammy Pizzo hooked me up with the new app. I have to say so far it's been working great and I can't wait to put it thru its paces on the upcoming feature.....8 weeks.....rain, underwater, helicopters, desert and mountains will all be involved.

I'm honored to be chosen to beta test it and can't wait to explore all the power that this brings to my hands.

I will be keeping the hand controller in the pelican case and using the app during most of the production since we rarely plan on "pulling convergence" and rather just setting it and then shooting.

I will be operating and working as stereographer so it will be so cool to pull out my phone, set my stereo put it back in my pocket and roll camera.......plus now nobody will know if I'm working or .....playing angry birds while sitting on the dolly....

Can't wait to get into it......

The app and the atom work so well together. It is wonderful to have a lens control system with this kind of mapping ability for stereo.
 
Wow, that's a huge coup for ET ... if that's a "free" extra it definitely bumps up the value of their kits considerably. Thanks for posting this Mark :)
