  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

sneak peak at iphone 5?

Interesting concept, but I fail to see why anyone would want a one colour screen with a transparent background (which means you wouldn't be able to read the screen half the time without pointing it somewhere else).

Not to mention no space for the battery or antennas (you could fit quite a lot of the electronics in the black bits)...
 
But it works on Avatar and Iron Man and Minority Report and all those other movies!!!!

Would that be made with the same extremely tough glass...You know the really tough glass that Apple promised but it seems didn't go as planned!
 
Never quite understood the practicality of transparent displays. It just looks cool in movies. Displays are becoming ultra-thin, which makes sense, but being transparent kinda defeats the purpose of a display panel. Of course, these displays are definitely suited for HUDs, and there's no doubt sunglasses will integrate transparent HUDs soon enough.

Film is lie.
It doesn't works, they only pretend it works cause they are paid for it. :biggrin:

Distracting background is extremely annoying thing. Only HUD has excuse - crucial informations instantly available.

Transparent displays have a purpose in movie making, it lets you see the actor's face and necessary information, instead of the traditional OTS.
 
Actually, the iPhone 5 will use the rear glass panel for an additional touch surface.

Actually, you are all wrong.

The entire phone is a virtualized projection, from your mind- where all the applicable electronics are installed.

That's right... there is no phone.

Once you realize that, then you understand the iPhone 5 is always what you want it to be.
