Snapshot trouble

My snapshots´s are either uniform grey (using tiff), or with so little contrast that I hardly see anything at all (with JPG´s).

A QT output of the movie in h.264 or ProRes is fine.

What am I doing wrong here?

Qk, quick update:

TIFF in snapshot mode "View" works.
Everything else doesn´t.
