Smoke from car in summer + smoke in car that does not leave oder

Hello,

I am looking to recreating an effect like below. But I have to shoot in summer, at what degrees can I see the exhaust fumes? In summer this effect is much less visible right? Or am I wrong?
Also I will need access to an classic car, but the owners will probably not let me put smoke up that that leaves an oder. What would be the best way to fill up a car that will leave no oder, or does any damage at all. (also I will need to be able to apply it without a power source)

during summer you would most likely have to rely on a smoke machine to simulate the exhaust fumes. best to talk to a live staging company, there are literally dozens of different smoke fluids for different kinds of effects.

for inside the car, you could probably use something like this: http://diffusion-fx.com/ wont be any good outside though especially when its windy.
