Sometimes someone does something so above and beyond to it needs to be mentioned.

We have a problem with one of our Small HD batteries (it should be specified that it was an old, pre-release prototype, and that those had known issues which have since been fixed.)

I called SmallHd, and a few minutes later I get another call from a local user, whom they had contacted, willing to lend me one on-set until the replacement arrived.

That's pretty crazy.

So far very impressed on their delivery off DP6.
Sadly have to wait till next Monday to play with RED :(

Agreed, I had an issue with one of the first dp6's. They sent me a replacement and a ups shipping label to send the first one back at my convenience. It's worked flawlessly since. A lot of Ac's I know are buying one after seeing how sharp and bright the dp6 is.
Great customer service and a great monitor.

How does the DP6 compare to the DP1x? I wouldn't mind having something a little smaller than my DP1x on camera and if the image of the DP6 is an improvement, I'd definitely go that route.

I have had nothing but excellent service from SmallHD as well. A great little company.

If any of you have suggestions as to how they can improve the DP6 or features you would like to see, I have found they are very responsive to adding things via firmware updates (like another company we know and love :-)

Hint: The next version adds some more cool things.

I wholeheartledy agree!
I ordered a DP-1 while it was on back-order and got a DP1x two weeks later delivered to Germany (got it for the same size. Upgrade would have been 100$ more). They are great with communication and service and I love their product. It's just sad they don't make the DP1x anymore (or anything in that size)!

Question, what arm is available for the DP6 (besides the one they sell).
Were using RED MX and also have some Zacutto parts here.

HDMI?

HDMI?

Has anyone run into any HDMI cabling issues with their DP6?
We cant get it to work with various brands of HDMI cables.
Got it to work with a bluejeanscable.com (I think its Belden) 3footer.
The SmallHD 3ft we purchased dont work either :(

My guess would be a poor connection to the board.
I'd call them and send it in for service.
Does it work with the other cables when you plug it into computer or DVD player?

Yes we connected using other cables to a PS3 and Sony BD player. Works fine there. Weird that we cant this unit to work with other cables other than the 3footer from Bluejeanscable.com (I know it sounds like Im selling the site). to add, we have a 10ft cable from same mfg and that doesnt work either. So now we have to hang on to his one particular cable for the remainder of the DP6 life.

It still sounds to me as the connection on the monitor was poor. Maybe you can get the HDMI socket resoldered.
Try the other way:
Get an HDMI computer display and try with the same cables on the same camera. That should tell you where the issue occurs....
