  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Trent, Not that I need it at the moment, but it would still be nice to know about: how do you get that preset file? Create one and rename it myself? what would I be able to activate in there? Any type of exportable preset?

Any preset file you create in camera may be placed in the 'force_preset' folder on the SSD to have it automatically imported and applied on boot up. RED has created a few presets specifically to enable HDMI with menus or HDSDI with menus for those without other control sources. For those presets you can contact RED support.
 
Contacted Red Support, requested the force_preset_HDMI file, and it worked like friggin' magic. Much love to the Red Support team for being such an attentive and prompt bunch. BTW, I also got the hdsdi 720p and hdsdi 1080p force preset in case I need it in the future. Thanks everyone who chimed in for your kindness. I'm beside myself, playing with the camera, learning to work the Side Handle.
