Hi,

I have a jet-pack V-mount battery adapter with lemo 4pins on.

I want to plug my small HD AC7 OLED into this via a hirose - lemo 4pin I bought from small HD. However it doesn't work? I rang small HD and they suggest that perhaps the polarity is wrong on the Jet-pack?

Any advice?

Many thanks,
Ru

Oh man, I've just ordered a cable for my AC7 OLED to connect to the JetPack-X as well. I have my fingers crossed because I haven't used the connectors on the JetPack-X yet or even had anything to test to make sure it worked properly.

Although, I had Switronix replace all 3 and 4 pin connections with all 2pin lemos. I believe, 2x 12v and 1x 7.2v.

I didn't order my cable from SmallHD though. I'm having it custom made from Media Blackout.

The polarity question came up as I talked to him about my setup. I referred to this manual:

http://www.switronix.com/userfiles/attachments/344_JETPACKX.pdf

But you have 4 pins, So I did a quick search.

On SmallHD site,

http://store.smallhd.com/store/dp7-oled-accessories/Hirose-to-LEMO-3ft

Says it works with Red I/O

Now, i looked into the Red I/O manual.

http://s3.amazonaws.com/red_3/downl...odule/Pro_IO_Module_Operation_Guide_Rev-C.pdf

It shows different pin connections.

The JetPack-X is using 1 and 3.

The Red I/O is 1 and 4

*EDIT*

Media Blackout sells a Hirose to Jetpack Lemo 4 pin specifically for $80. You can see from the pulldown if you want 4pin for Red, or 4pin for JetPack.

Well don't try anything till I do otherwise you might blow the monitor, best to let me blow mine first lol. I hope I haven't damaged it already. I'm going to try reversing the polarity on the cable when I get some kind of confirmation from small hd or jet pack manufactures.

I think the way to do is use the Dtap connector. just not as nice as the Lemo ones.

Dtap is way worse, I was just hearing last night about a director that forced one in the wrong direction and blew the monitor. Twice.

Yours won't be reversed. The ground/negative is on pin 1. So it's just not getting the positive signal.

I gave the cable to someone who knew much more about this kinda thing than me and he sorted it out. Very nice to have a proper working cable now. :)
