Smallhd 702 bright worth it?

There is a deal at the moment on the SmallHD 702 Bright 7" Full HD On-Camera Monitor at B&H ($799).

I already have a 502 monitor and a few months ago I had a problem with it and I had to send it back for repair.

I would like to know if you are happy with your 702 and if the deal worth it?

I own a 502 and every time I work with the 702 I envy it, would definitely recommend going for the 702

24 bit and 8 bit Are exactly the same. 24bit just means 8 bit per channel (RGB).

I bought the 702 bright during the last sale. I don't know how hot the 502 gets but it was the first thing I noticed (the heat) compared to the AC7 OLED.

The monitor has its quirks, but I believe it's more to do wth the OS than the monitor itself.

I've had one since they came out. Not great for judging colour/exposure but great for everything else. Make sure to get one of these: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/co...QYBCABEgLFV_D_BwE&is=REG&pcur=CAD&sku=1280905 otherwise the SDI ports will get janky on you and eventually snap right off.

I own one. It's nice and gets the job done. I would pay the deal price. I don't think I would pay much more than that. But I think it's worth it for the deal price.

I really want to buy one to Europe, but I've heard from friend who owns the rental here in Czech Republic that these monitors are often broken and service in US is very complicated for us as we have to always pay import duties on it :/ So don't know.
