Hey guys, selling my brand new SmallHD 702 BRIGHT monitor (this is not the LITE version).
It is brand new, still in original packaging + receipt on hand.

Purchased 3 days ago (12-27-17)

Retails for $1500 + Tax (link for item: http://store.smallhd.com/products/700-series/702-SDI-On-Camera-Field-Monitor)

Asking for $1300.

Located in Los Angeles, so local meetup is preferred and cash.

Rule #1 for Marketplace forum:
#1) If you are not interested in an item listed in a thread, please do not post in that thread.

Thank you for your contribution Ben, I appreciate it.

The product retails for $1500.
I am choosing to sell at $1300, cheaper than retail.

If you have any other questions, I'd be glad to answer.

Did you buy it for $1500?

I appreciate 99% of your interactions on the forum are just using the marketplace, but we're a community. We don't buy limited stock of stuff on special offer and try to flip it to each other for vastly inflated profits.

Hey,

Just to be fair, there is no problem if someone buy at good price and then resell it to the community. It is a problem if he sell defective product or taking other money the run away. The customer is the one who decide whether to buy his product or not.

I also spend time in other area however most of my post are at market place.

Happy new year ...

You are right, 100%. However, what is the essence of a community? What differentiates a community from a (core) marketplace? I will not say if an action is bad or good, but what I do know is that there have been members who opened an alert thread informing other members of good mark downs/sales on products they felt would be beneficial to other members especially at the great discounts, infact people do open and spend enormous efforts to even get good discounts in GBs so other members could benefit, though you can argue some do benefit but then there other countless GBs that the organizers don't benefit beyond what others are benefiting. Anyways...... $850

I agree with Phan. The key here and within all capitalism is timing. Lets say you book a job and 2 days before, the director requests a smallHD 702 monitor. You scramble (like we all have) to source the equipment and rent it to the production. In that moment, I bet you'd happily pay $1300 for a brand new monitor (reduced from $1500 retail). I think thats what Salvador is doing here. He's willing to acquire the equipment at a lower price, hoping someone will need it later. The key is timing. If I'm not in a rush to get a smallHD monitor, then I'll wait for another B+H Deal @ $799. If I need the gear for a job, I'd happily pay $1300. Timing is everything. If you don't like the 1300 price, then wait for another sale. If you really need it, be glad Salvador has one available at $1300.

Just my 2 cents :)

Thanks David, that is exactly true. I acquired it for when it was beneficial. Anyone could have invested their time in searching through websites, like Amazon, or B&H, in case of discount. I'm sure some people were not able to get a deal because their time was spent elsewhere, potentially working a job and making money. If you are not in the need for the item, then no need to bash. There are deals for everything (gas, equipment, food, luxuries) at any given time. If a deal does not interest you, even though it is cheaper than you would get anywhere else, you do not have to buy. After all, it was the manufacturers who decided to give a discounted rate. They may or may not do so again. In any case, the offer I am making is still cheaper than retail pricing.

Thanks again for checking in guys.

Anyways, PRICE BUMP to $1200.
