  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

SmallHD 502 Monitor Group Buy!

Im still on the fence but this unit is going the wrong direction for what I need (bigger than DP-4).

Whats the closest in your experience to this display e.g. Marshall, Ikan, Ikegami, etc...

SmallHD makes great displays, the problem I had was the AC7 line...not color accurate at all. The DP7 is great....love it! So are you wanting bigger than 7"? I think SmallHD would be getting away from their brand - hence the name "smallhd," if they went with a much larger screen, but who knows.

Im leaning towards 7" and higher for what I need.

I really want this 502 just need to see where it fits in set-up since I already have a DP-4 :)

I'd sell off that DP4...this blows that out of the water. You can actually pull accurate focus whereas the DP4...you're just guessing.

One more to go! SmallHD will hopefully issue a discount code on Monday so you guys can start placing your orders if we hit 25 before then. Other people who have not yet put their name down will have until June 4 to get in on the GB.

I know they are releasing a hood sometime soon for the 502. Hopefully it's like the DP4 hood where the entire screen is covered, but they leave access points for controlling the screen via the thumbwheel.
