  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Selling my SmallHD 1703 HDR monitor. Excellent condition. Only used a handful of times. Great monitor!

Comes with V-Mount + Cheeseplate, Monitor Feet, Acrylic Screen Protector Anti-Reflective Deluxe Edition, and Power Cord.

Asking for $2000, but open to offers.

Local pickup/meetup in Los Angeles area preferred, but open to shipping (buyer pays for shipping cost).

Hows to color rendition on this,i had 2403 hdr and it always seemed off. I see they discontinued that model, is this one better?
 
Hey Jason,

This is the 1703 HDR version, which came out with the 2403 and 3203 versions. So I believe the 1703 HDR has the same specs as the 2403 HDR, albeit some small differences in brightness and bit-depth.

For me, the color rendition looks fine on the 1703 (with some tweaking), but these were geared more for on the field production and not for color referencing.

Hi I am a bit confused - does this model predate the p3x? I have an another 1703 that has apparently been upgraded to the P3X screen. I am looking for a monitor to match. Thanks.

Is yours the same as this? I know that the P3X monitor does not actually say P3x on it anywhere...so a bit hard to tell sometimes.

This is the first model of the 1703 series, which was called the 1703HDR. The 1703 P3 and P3X models came out after. This model, the 1703HDR, can be upgraded to the P3X version by sending it to SmallHD. Hope this helps.
 
Thanks Mathew - do you have any idea how much it costs to upgrade to p3x if you send it back to smallhd? I am pretty sure the other monitor I have - has had this exact upgrade before I got my hands on it.
