Small Feature Request

Hi,

I hate to bug people over such a little thing, especially after all the great things red has done. But, would it be possible to have the Scene & Take info that i have entered into RedCine X be exported to show up in the scene and take in FCP. Even at the very least in the meta data file exports. It doesn't show up anywhere but in RedCine X which is kinda pointless. Thanks,

It can't show up in FCP just with the quicktimes, it'd need to be input via fcp xml which is possible to add.

It's not a pointless feature as other apps can use that field in the RMD and there are some other workflows
using it. In addition to future use of the field via epic, using those field for burnin, etc.

Wasn't meaning to offend. I just couldn't see the use of it cause it seems like i cant get the info out of Red Cine. Is it possible now to get that info in a FCP XML? if so let me know cause this would be great! Thanks,

Yeah FCP would certainly accept an XML about your RED Cine X footage if RED Cine X generated one- I believe that's what Deanan is driving at. So your request translates to XML Export support for Red Cine. I coulda sworn it did that already but if not- would be nice.

Just clarifying...

We'll add passing that info to FCP XML to our todo list.

Meanwhile you can use Clipfinder to get that or any other custom info to FCP or Avid for that matter.
