Hi,
I am going to be shooting a music video using the Red One.
I want to overcrank for the slo mo effect, but want to make sure the singing is synced to the song.
I will be editing in final cut pro.

1. Any general advice, or things to look out for?
2. I assume I need to speed up the song in to get this effect and stay in sync with the track. Should i just bump the song to 2x speed and then overcrank at 50fps, and then edit at 25fps?

Just want to make sure i shoot correctly. :)

many thanks for any advice here.

I just finished shooting an overcranked music video. If you speed up the song to 200% and shoot at 50 fps you will get perfectly synced video to the 100% song. Assuming you are editing at 25 fps.

I shot the video at 36fps and sped up the song 150%. I edited the project at 24 fps and it synced beautifully.

I'm not quite finished, but here's the "teaser" for the video I just shot.

Cheers.
