Hi there,

I'm looking for a travel-sized slider which can get perfectly smooth results with a Scarlet. Motorized, or the ability to add a motor, would be ideal if possible.

I am also wondering what tripod(s) would be best for support? At present I only have a fairly lightweight aluminium Manfrotto (055), so I imagine I'll need to upgrade, or buy a second. Should I be looking for a sturdier, single tripod, or will a second similar tripod do the job? Again, I'm looking for a "travel" option here, so the lighter the better, as long as it does not affect stability.

Any suggestions/thoughts greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Define your method of travel. I have a Dana Dolly setup and a Pocket Dolly. They both travel in my Sprinter Van. I use the pocket Dolly for tight places with a light camera setup mounted to OConnor carbon fiber sticks.

I'm looking for something that is not huge, which I can comfortably use as a one-man unit, and is ideally "checked luggage" size, i.e. around 30-45". In regard to the last point, I don't mind paying for it as oversize luggage for it each time I travel if can't get similar results with something smaller, though as stated I don't want something massive.

Thanks!

So you are looking at something to travel by flight?

Thought about using a golf club case and putting a slider and accessories in it for flight?

The Kessler Stealth Traveller and Cineslider look like a fit for my requirements; will they be good choices for the Scarlet?

I can see there are Rhino, Manfrotto and Konova options for around half the price. I definitely do not want to buy twice, but of course it would be good to spend less if possible.

That could be an option, though I don't need anything huge.

OConnor carbon fiber sticks.

P.S. was this x2?

Thanks...

No, single 30L for support.

And the Cineslider will handle a bigger load than the Pocket Dolly.

The 3ft cineslider is amazing. Either one solid tripod supporting on centre or 2 smaller tripods supporting each end is better.
