I hope that the other manufactures are sorting out the issue with their exclusive dealers and will send in their offers soon.

I think a fair deadline is Sunday 21st. I will open a poll in this thread where everyone can vote on their favorite manufacturer/deal. I'll then start to organize all the details for the deal. If two deals in totally different price brackets are chosen, I'll contact both manufactures so that we can have two group buys.

Cheers
David

MYT looking the best by far imo. Do you guys think I'll be ok with the small package though? I'm thinking about going with the 3 in 1 small package for my basic setup: a 75mm head (5 lbs) with epic (5 lbs), cp2 lens (2 lbs), the clutch (9 lbs), clip on matte box (1 lb), AB batteries (3 lbs), follow focus (1 lb) = 26 lbs whereas the small says it has a 25 lb limit.

I should probably go for the medium but there's no option for 75mm heads on the medium and I currently only run with a 75mm head and can't afford to buy this slider AND an additional new 100mm tripod head...

Also, do you guys think the medium will be smoother and better built in general than the small? Does anyone possibly have experience with both?

And big thanks to David again for doing this for us.

Go with the medium - you can buy an inexpensive 100mm to 75mm bowl adapter or get the slider with a mitchell mount then buy a mitchell to 75mm ball adapter

The small one is not included in the discount... also, I would recommend the medium size for this setup. Etienne from MYT Works told me on the phone, that it's not a weight problem, but that the bigger tracks are more stable/smoother when panning, especially when using larger lenses.

Thanks, guys. Do you think I should go with the Mitchell mount or 100mm mount? And does the 3 in 1 come included in the groupbuy?

Hopefully we can get enough buyers to fulfill the deal's max potential...

The discount applies to all medium and large packages (3 in 1 or just the slider doesn't matter).

I asked them if it's possible to make the discount even higher for the biggest bracket... let's hope that some economies of scale can be applied :)

Its too bad the small package isn't available from MYT. I've already got a big mitchell overkeeper, and am interested in something smaller for run-and-gun lightweight set-ups. Plus, as far as I remember, the small is the only one that comes in the shortest 3' length... medium and large have a min length of 4'. Is that still the case?

shame...

I'm interested in MYT. Their stuff is not only useable but beautiful! When is the deadline for the buy?

Deadline for the offers is Sunday. I'll then open a poll in this thread to vote on the offer... deadline the following Sunday.

I'll ask them if they could include also the small version. But given that even the medium and large versions are quite lightweight, I would go with them, if you're using an rigged Epic.

Aloha David,

I am interested in the:MYT GLIDE LARGE – 5 FEET MITCHELL MOUNT.

Thank You,

I am in the market for a slider. Not sure what you are offering yet, but would like the details.

Thanks.

Thanks David. And I guess also if you can just verify that the smallest length they go for the medium unit is 4'? (because again, for me 3' is plenty long for the uses we'd want it for).

thanks sir
