Slate/Clapper board

Hey,

I'm looking for a good old fashioned clapper board. Could you recommend any? As I'm the director and DP I'd like to get one, where these two positions are not divided by lines and I need a simple design: no rolls, just take, scene, date.

+ I want the writings on it to be engraved, not painted.

Thanks! Initially I wanted to use an iPad, but I want a real clapper board. I want to have a specific board that I can use without worrying about batteries, freezing, low volume sound, fragility and... I am able to store in my archives after the shoot

If you want engraved plates just go to the mall and have one of those engraving places cut you what you need.

I have a Don Earl slate, but haven't used it since I put movie slate on my iPad.

This guy will custom engrave them for you. I usually get one made for each big job I do. It makes a nice gift for the director or the client at the end of the job.
